Cameras.

My new baby :)
Olympus Trip 35, I bought it in an antiques centre earlier today. I don't know if it actually works but I can't wait to find out!

Blue Ribbon Super Fat Lens 35mm film camera:
Takes Lomo looking photographs, haven't had any back yet though.

LOMO 4 Lens Action Sampler 35mm film camera:
Takes 4 photos at once so you can capture movement, but prints them all on the same sheet.
(Can't wait to experiment with this!)

My collection of cameras I'm taking up to Scotland with me next week:

Too many?!

Merry Christmas!

Some designs for the NET Patient Foundation Christmas Card, I can't decide which I like best, and which look christmassy enough :S

My mum likes this version best, and I think I agree:

Although I do really like this one as well! :

Thinking about Christmas.

Already!
The NET Patient Foundation (which my family is closely affiliated with) want a Christmas Card designed, so I'm going to design a few things :)

It has to have a moth in it (from their logo, even though it looks like a butterfly!) and it helps that it's red, christmassy colour and all.

One design I'm thinking of is having the moth with full wing span, and some sort of snowflake pattern or christmas scene in the wings.

My mum like this idea, a stylised christmas tree shape with the moth on top instead of a star, with snowflakes around it.

My dad's also asked me to design a poster for his work, so looks like I've got a busy weekend ahead of me! Going to be difficult with camera shopping tomorrow, going to see the Inbetweeners on sunday (yay) then first thing monday morning I'm off up to Scotland for the rest of the week :)

I'll find time...

Teacher.

Just gave out some advice/feedback to a girl studying Graphic Design at college and hoping to do it at university :)

As if I know what I'm talking about! Haha

Chalk.

Finally did some more work on my feather project.
It's come to a bit of a standstill because I'm getting more into photography right now, but I just really felt the urge to draw something, and fancied using chalk.
Result: two very simple feather drawings :)

Wildlife Whisperer.

I just entered this photograph into the Wildlife Whisperer competition. (Details here)

I know some people will be entering stunning photos of really exotic animals, but I think this image has a certain charm to it. It's delicate, unassuming, soft and quiet; a whisper, so it really fits with the company name.

Perseverance.

Ok so, job update.

It's really fricking hard! There's hardly anything available for a graduate designer with almost no experience (hardly surprising, but how do companies expect you to get the experience if no one hires anyone without any?!)

So I've signed up for every job alert going from a million different websites and have applied for the few that I'm actually qualified for, but no luck yet :)

Perseverance....
