Touches.

Shelf.

My shelf is finally up!
I couldn't have it on the wall I originally wanted it on because Dad's fancy little metal detector thing detected wires in the wall, which wouldn't be clever to drill through, so it's on the wall above my bed instead. It looks a bit odd here at the moment because I'm supposed to be getting a double bed so the shelf is lined up for the middle of that rather than the single that's in there now.

I've also completely filled it up with my shot glass collection, so I won't be able to get any more!

Country Living.

Some antics from this weekend :)

The Mystery Machine at Friday Woods (completely random! Me, my sister and my friend Fi went here for a picnic, turns out the woods, and especially the car park, are famous for dogging, so probably won't be going back anytime soon!)

Tolleshunt D'Arcy Summer Show.

Mum entered Hamish in the "best veteran" class of the dog show...
(clearly showing how agile he still is for an old dog!)

And he came third! Never to old to win a rosette for a first time, can't teach an old dog new tricks and all that.

Hamish with his rosette.

I got talked into entering Logan into the "most handsome dog" category...
(I told Fi about my recent fascination with the sky so that's why this photo is like this!)

He won!

Collecting his rosette :)

Me and mum watching the show :)

Logan with his first place rosette for "most handsome" and third place rosette for "loudest bark", and Hamish with his "best veteran" one :)

Beautiful old car in the car park :)

Tollesbury (again!)

I seem to have been going to Tollesbury a lot recently. Plus I've taken to carrying my camera literally everywhere I go.
The sky was looking really beautiful tonight though and I really wanted a good photo of the sunset over the marina.
I took my normal SLR (Nikon D3000) with me, as well as an old film camera of my dad's (which actually has a better zoom than my camera :( ) which I'll need to get developed, plus my sister brought her digital camera, so I should have a good selection of photos to go through.
Here are a few samples:

My sister sitting on my favourite bench.

I'm not really sure what it is about this bench that appeals to me so much, I guess it's that it just looks so lonely and desolate up on that hill.

It seems to be my new thing, to take a portrait photo with the foreground just at the bottom of the photo then the great expanse of sky. I like this technique, it gives the impression that the sky goes on forever and ever (which it pretty much does, hence why I think it's so amazing!)

My sister and I (she's not taller than me, I'm crouched down!) We went to Tollesbury tonight with a series of cameras (I think about 5) to watch the sunset over the marina. Beautiful.
