One of these was to design a nail art plate. This was the example they gave me:
I was designing for a 'Frenchie' themed nail art plate, so basically designing french manicure tips. This is what I came up with:
The final outcome
Took me forever to turn these from initial sketches to drawing them on Illustrator - I'm still quite new to the programme and I've pretty much taught myself how to use it. But I'm very happy with what I came up with.
Task 2 was to go to a London market and take a few photos with the intention of creating a postcard to advertise the website where the market sellers show their work. I went to Portobello road, on a Monday, which was perhaps not the best idea because there wasn't much there but I still have a few ideas. I've sent the first photo off:
Hey, that is great and I hope they accept you as an intern. It sounds exciting, good luck! I am a nail artist and would like to try a new approach in sketching out designs; for some of my work, visit instagram.com/shhhjustC. What is the program use, if you don't mind me asking, used to create the samples? Previously, I did web graphics and was self-taught using Photoshop, but that was years ago.
ReplyDeleteHi Miss Chau. They did offer me the internship but after a very long think I actually turned it down - it just didn't feel right. I had a look at your instagram - I love your designs! So much so that I've followed you :) I'm not that great with design software, so for these designs I actually drew them by hand, scanned them in, then used Adobe Illustrator to kind of trace over the designs. I'm self taught with this program so I don't really know what I'm doing but they seemed to turn out ok!
